Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie

Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie

Every weekend I spend my Sunday afternoons prepping for the next week. I make all of my breakfasts, lunches, and usually dinners too. I know it sounds like a lot, but I promise it is SO worth it! Meal-prepping is definitely a way of life for me these days! I would be such a mess without it! Anyways, for breakfast I usually prepare a smoothie. They vary from week to week and I usually share my meal-prepping in my IG stories. Without fail, people ask me for smoothie recipes and I always feel bad because I never really measure out the ingredients. I just go with the flow. So I decided to change that! *Cues music for this tasty Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie*

Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie

Because I typically drink smoothies for breakfast, I love mixing things up and creating new combinations for fresh flavors! When I created this one, I knew I wanted to try something different and add in a few items I normally wouldn’t. My smoothies usually consist of some of the same elements: a main fruit or veggie, bananas, and plant milk. Basic, but good.

How to Make this Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie

For this smoothie I wanted to try adding in some additional elements to give it some extra flare. Whenever I juice, two staples for me have always been lemon and ginger. I love the kick that they add to my juice, so I decided to see if they would work with a smoothie. I’m happy to report that they did! Because of the added kick, I thought it was important to balance out those flavors with something sweet. That’s where the strawberries, bananas, and pineapple come in. All naturally sweetened and work well to balance out the sourness from the lemon and kick from the ginger. As for the turmeric, I added it just for a little extra nutrients. Turmeric is great for a variety of reasons, but it is said to help viral infections which is why I added it. I try to get it in where I can! You can absolutely make this strawberry pineapple smoothie with fresh fruit, but I decided to use a combination of fresh and frozen. This was mainly because it’s what I had on hand. If you have all fresh fruit to use, it would most definitely work!

I know you’ll love this Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie. It’s super easy to make and it’s got a really refreshing taste. Give it a try and let me know what you think in the comments below!
