I’ll be real. I’ve been plant based for just over two years and I’m STILL working on stepping up my salad game. I’ve loathed boring, bland salads since I can remember. Part of my issue was finding the right dressing, but even still I felt a bit “off.” Have you ever read the ingredients in a typical salad dressing? No? I have. They’re typically filled with ingredients I know nothing about. That’s where this vegan honey mustard dressing comes in handy.
Have a look at all of the ingredients below. SUPER basic! This vegan honey mustard dressing is perfect for spicing up boring salads. With just 6 ingredients, it’s super easy to put together. I’d bet that you probably even have these ingredients waiting for you in the kitchen! There’s nothing I love more than tossing some basic ingredients together to make something bomb. That’s exactly what happened here!
Wondering if it’s customizable? It totally is. Add a little more agave for added sweetness, or less if you really want the mustard to shine through. I recently made a Roasted Sweet Potato and Kale Salad using this dressing. Not only did I top the salad with this vegan honey mustard dressing, I also used a few tablespoons to massage the kale with. This was super helpful in making the kale softer and much tastier to eat. If you’ve ever tried to eat raw kale by itself, you’ll understand why this is so necessary! Kale naturally has a tougher texture than a veggie like spinach, so it needs a little help to make it more palatable.
If you’re more into spinach, I think this would pair really well with your favorite spinach salad! Ready to try this vegan honey mustard dressing for yourself? I thought you might be! Whip some up and let me know what you think about it in the comments below!
