Ya’ll, Chickpea Tuna -Less Sandwich is now one of my favorite meals to make! It’s so easy and ooooohhhh so tasty! I’ve been searching for a good vegan spin on a tuna sandwich and THIS IS IT!
It seriously doesn’t get any easier than this.
I got the inspiration for this dish from one of my favorite IG folks, @rose0fsharon. She has an amazing Youtube channel where she talks about a variety of things, one of those being my favorite: FOOD!
I saw her rendition of this chickpea tuna-salad and HAD to try it! I used hers as the inspiration to make my own version, and I’m happy to say that it turned out much better than I expected!
What I love most is that it’s BASIC! I wouldn’t be surprised if you had all of these ingredients in your kitchen already.
I’m looking forward to making these for road trips or quick lunches for when I’m on the go. I jazzed my sandwich up with tomato and lettuce, but the toppings are completely optional.
It’s just as good slapped between two pieces of plain white bread (my mouth is watering just thinking about it… seriously).
I think this would also make a great appetizer; laid out on a nice dish with ritz crackers and a dollop of this chickpea tuna. Omg, YUM!
Tip for Making this Chickpea Tuna-Less Sandwich:
Because of the nature of this recipe, you might be tempted to toss all of these ingredients in a food processor and pulse a few times. DO NOT! I tried this and it just wasn’t the same.
If you’ve got a potato masher, it works beautifully for this recipe! A fork will also work, it just requires a bit more effort.
I know you’ll love this recipe! It’s super easy to make, perfect to take on the go, plus it tastes soooo good! The Old Bay seasoning really sets it off! So what are you waiting for?
Get in the kitchen and whip this up! Let me know what you think in the comments below!

I made this tuna less salad yesterday. And let me tell you, it was sooo yummy. I really thought it was tuna haha , it does have a close taste to tuna. It’s surely my new fave for work… I gave this a 10/10….
I made this for the first time ever (vegan since …. over 10 years 😩🤦♀️) I’m old, this ish was the bomb.com! There is no more left! All the meat eaters killed it!
Nia, I’m so glad you and the fam enjoyed it! I’m planning to whip up some soon! Perfect for warm weather! 🙂
OMG!!!! This is the best chickpea salad recipe I’ve tried! Adding Old Bay to the mix took it to another level of deliciousness. It was so easy to make and you’re only chopping celery and onions. I was seriously scraping it all from the bowl LOL. This recipe is a must when you want chickpea salad with a little sass added

Thnx!
This recipe is so good that I made it 3 times in 2 weeks! My toddler loves it (left out the onion, cayenne, and celery in his portion). So good on bread with bread & butter pickles. I need a cookbook of your recipes!!
This was really simple to make and very flavorful. It was a tad spicy for me, so I’ll change up the amount of cayenne I use next time. Really delicious!
