You’ve got your main dish, your favorite sides… until you realize that you’ve forgotten to make the vegetable. In comes these Easy Vegan Air Fried Green Beans! This is the perfect last minute recipe that you can throw in the air fryer and have ready in 15 minutes!
Not to mention, during the holidays sometimes it can be a pain to figure out what goes in the oven when, so it’s nice to make a side dish that you can pop into the air fryer that doesn’t have to compete for oven time.

- Olive Oil
- Minced Garlic
How to Make Vegan Air Fried Green Beans
To make this recipe you’ll want to start by rounding up all of your ingredients. Be sure to wash your green beans if necessary before cooking. Also, if washing is necessary you’ll also want to pat the green beans dry before proceeding. Cooking them while they’re wet will change the final texture.
Once your green beans are ready, add them to your air fryer basket along with the olive oil, salt, pepper and minced garlic. For this recipe you can use either fresh garlic or jarred (I’ve done both- just depends on if I feel like chopping that day), but of course fresh is always better.
Grab a spoon and stir everything so that the ingredients are well combined. It might also be helpful to add half of your intended amount of salt and pepper, stir, then add the remaining amount just to make sure that all of the greens are well seasoned.
Now that the green beans are coated and seasoned, you can transfer them to your air fryer and cook them on a roast setting (for me this is 375°) for 8-10 minutes. Since all air fryers are different, you may find it helpful to peak in on them every now and then just to make sure they’re not overcooking. In my experience 8-10 minutes is the sweet spot.
Once your Vegan Air Fried Green Beans are done, you’re ready to eat! Pair them along with your favorite meal and enjoy!
At What Temperature Should I Roast Vegan Air Fried Green Beans?
The air fryer that I use actually has a roast setting that once pressed automatically sets the temperature to 375°, so I simply use the preset. If your air fryer doesn’t have a roast setting, simply change it manually to 375°.

- 1 lb fresh green beans washed and dried
