Vegan Buttermilk Waffles

Ingredients

all purpose flour

tsp
baking soda
1
tsp
baking powder
1/2
cup
sugar
1
pinch
nutmeg
1/2
tsp
salt
3
tbsp
melted vegan butter
(I used earth balance)
1 1/2
tsp
vanilla extract
1 1/2
cup
unsweetened almond milk
1
tbsp
apple cider vinegar
1/3
cup
unsweetened applesauce
whatever toppings you'd like!
Instructions
Preheat waffle maker and spray with coconut oil or spread with additional vegan butter
In a large bowl, mix together all of the dry ingredients
In a small/medium bowl mix together the wet ingredients, then transfer to the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix until just combined
Using a measuring cup or ladle, transfer the mixture to your preheated waffle iron. The amount necessary will depend on your particular machine
Repeat until all batter is used and top with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
