Vegan Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies [+VIDEO]

Soft, chewy, melt in your mouth chocolate chip cookies that are easy to make and sprinkled with salt flakes for the perfect finish. Amazingly delicious and completely dairy-free!

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened vegan butter and brown sugar on a high speed until it appears whipped.
    8 tbsp vegan butter, 1 cup organic brown sugar
  • Add in the unsweetened applesauce, baking soda, pinch of sea salt, vanilla extract and flour. Mix to combine.
    2 tbsp unsweetened applesauce, 1 tsp baking soda, 2 pinches sea salt, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 2 cup all-purpose unbleached flour
  • Batter will be crumbly. To form dough, add in unsweetened almond milk and continue to mix.

  • Next, add in the vegan chocolate chips and mix into the dough.
    1 cup vegan semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Use a 1½ tbsp cookie scoop to evenly disperse cookies onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil for easy removal.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  • Once done, remove from oven and sprinkle with desired amount of sea salt flakes. Let cool for 5-6 minutes.

Please note, this recipe can easily be doubled if you'd like more cookies!
Also, if you don't have regular brown sugar, you can also use light brown sugar as an alternative.
